The Ranchi Jesuit Province administers St. Xavier's College through a Governing Body whose Chairman is the Provincial, Vice-Chairman is the Rector of the College and Secretary is the Principal who is also the Chief Executive of the Governing Body.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Academic affairs
- Maintanance of official records
- Maintenance and construction of campus buildings and grounds
- Supervision of Safety & security of staff, student and property in the campus
- Supervision and support of information technology
- Research administration
- Public affairs (including relations with the Media, the Community and the Governments)
- Student services such as disability services, career counselling and library
