Tribal Cultural Society

Tribal Cultural Society of St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi aims at promotion and protection of tribal culture and heritage of Jharkhand. Through various activities like Tribal Dance Competition on the occasion of Karam, World Indigenous Day celebration etc. opportunity is created whereby awareness to Tribal history, languages, dance, songs, foods, dress is brought to the students in the college.

Aim:

Giving rich experience of tribal culture to the students of the college campus.

Vission:

Being rooted in one’s own culture, experiencing the richness of it and going beyond the culture boundary to respect the culture of other people of our country.

Mission:

To bring all the tribal students together and give them a platform where they could realize their strength and richness of tribal culture. To celebrate major tribal feasts like Sarhul and karam, World indigenous day celebration.


Objectives:

  • To promote tribal culture and values.
  • To form culturally rooted students.

Membership:

President and secretary are selected through election other members are all the tribal students of the college.
