Department of Computer Science

Computer science has become an integral part of the modern society with the advent of information technology. The ever-increasing demand of sophisticated computation has created the need for fast changing computer devices commensurate with the requirements of software and networking. Application of computer at every technological area and management is must. Every technological and social research is not possible without computer application. Data transmission and application for the planning and administration is incomplete without computer application. Government is also planning its administration system in the e-Governance for the efficient governing. As per the survey there are huge shortfalls of manpower in the computer application field. This course is aim to fulfill this gap and create new opportunities for the students.

The programme enables the students to understand current computer application challenges and prepares them with the aid of updated technologies and advanced pedagogy to successfully face the global demands. The programme gives exposure to hands-on computer technologies to create applications and solutions for the world that we live in and to apply the knowledge of mathematics and computing fundamentals to various real life applications for any given requirement. The most important aspect of computer science is problem solving, an essential skill for life. Students study the design, development and analysis of software and hardware used to solve problems in a variety of business, scientific and social contexts. In line with globalization and the borderless world, the computer is a machine in the information society acting as the main artery of all machinery administration in any field.

Aim & Objective:

The aim of Computer Application Programme is to prepare a solid foundation in the principles and technologies that underlie many facets of Computer application, including logic, knowledge representation, problem solving and probabilistic models. The objective of programme is to impart a comprehensive understanding of computer application development using various computer programming languages. The programme unlocks the doors of flourishing careers in the sphere of Information Technology.
